ART AND AUTHORITY -  an illustrated talk by Alison Warn

This talk will look at style and character in paintings from the reign of the dictatorial French King Louis XIV to the 20th century. We will look at a range of paintings by such artists as Poussin and Picasso, Claude and Constable, Chardin and Cézanne noting how artistic expression has had to struggle to be free.

Venue: St Andrew's Centre

Time: 2 p.m. (tea / coffee) for 2.30 p.m. start.

A charge of £2 will be made to cover the cost of hall hire and refreshments.
