Monthly Meeting: 3rd February 2025: Gary Fisher - “The Bayeux Tapestry”
Gary has a degree in Historical Geography from the University of London. He has worked as a Historical Interpreter in many of the country’s leading sites including the Tower of London and Hampton Court. He also runs “Living History Hatfield” a company that takes historic characters into schools. Gary’s talk examines the origins of the Bayeux Tapestry together with the historical events surrounding it before taking an in depth look at how those events are depicted in what is, amongst many other things, a magnificent work of art.
